I first saw Mike in January [2020] following a recommendation from a friend who had attended the Physio led Pilates through Mike & Justine.  I had suffered a back injury a year prior which also led to a shoulder issue, after seeing lots of different people and getting different advice / opinions, i felt stuck in my progress.

Mike was welcoming and made me feel comfortable given my anxieties around the situation.  He was professional yet approachable and personable. Mike is knowledgeable and is clearly well read and up to speed with the latest evidence / research yet explained things in basic terms initially but once knew I had some knowledge and that I was quite proactive, he adjusted to the knowledge her perceived I had. 

He also paraphrased and repeated things If i wasn't clear or if I needed reassurance. 

He picked up on my anxieties and really helped put my mind at ease and reassured that there was hope to get me back on track after so long feeling I'd been fobbed off by other professionals. I had previously weight trained about 5 days a week for around 4 years but due to my injuries, I had to take a break from this and felt so far from my norm."

I’ve always been known for my slim frame, but I knew my body was not as strong as I’d like it to be. Pilates has done wonders for my body confidence and my mental health! I’m now feeling and seeing the changes and I LOVE IT!

"My knee problems in Lockdown [in 2020] did not create a problem for Mike. I arranged a virtual appointment, and I was amazed at how much we could achieve in this way. Our video link meant that Mike could watch me do movements to help diagnosis and he could watch and advise on how I was doing the prescribed exercises, to make sure my form was good. I have then been working on these for a few weeks, with progressions that Mike suggested, and the improvement has been great, better than I could have hoped in the time. I was able to video myself doing single squats to check I was doing them correctly, before progressing. I can recommend Mike's work even in Lockdown, He goes out of his way to try to make sure that what he offers in both physio and Pilates is as good as what you would get face to face. The great thing is, my knees are no longer painful and the strengthening I am doing should mean that the injury will not return. Thank you Mike"
